10 award-winning bathroom fittings

Invest in the best with this selection of top-notch buys for your new scheme

By Paula Woods |

The following award-winning bathroom fittings are among the best products you can buy. The accolades they’ve received show they’re up to the tough job of providing durability, great performance and timeless style.

And they need to  – because a bathroom that’s a pleasure to use demands everything delivers on both a practical and aesthetic level.

Brassware needs to stay looking great and work reliably time after time, for many years. A heated towel rail must warm effectively, be robust and come in a choice of dimensions to enable a perfect fit for the wall space. The list goes on.

All this can make for a shopping and interior-design challenge – made easier when industry experts do some of the legwork by highlighting the finest products around.

1. The Versatile Radiator

Taking inspiration from a traditional cast-iron column radiator, this more lightweight aluminium design comes in a range of colours and sizes.

And as it hangs either vertically or horizontally, there is likely to be a configuration to suit your wall space. Storage comes in form of an optional towel holder or hook. This award-winning bathroom fitting received a German Design Award in 2024.

2. Waterproof Flooring With Heritage Styling

Encaustic tiles provide a whole host of pattern possibilities, but they do require sealing to make them resistent to water damage and staining.

So the manufacturers of this luxury vinyl tile, a flooring that’s inherently waterproof and stain resistant, came up with Victorian encaustic tile-style patterns for a historical look without the hassle.

Walbrook came top in the smooth designs category at The National Flooring Innovation Awards in 2023.

3. Value For Money Range

The comprehensive Levanna collection of award-winning bathroom fittings includes brassware, basins, WCs, furniture and accessories.

The most expensive item in the range is a 1200mm-wide, freestanding cabinet with multiple drawers, coming in at a very reasonable £400.

All is sleek and contemporary, helping the collection win a 2024 Red Dot Award.

4. Eco-Friendly Shower

After switching it on, the water flowing from this shower is fresh from the mains. But once you’ve used soap or shampoo, select the recycling mode.

Water collecting in the drain goes through a special recirculating circuit, which maintains the temperature and cleans the water while you continue to rinse.

Limiting water and energy consumption, this award-winning bathroom fitting won Best of Best at the 2024 Iconic Awards

6. Recyclable Basin

Formed from wood chips and a resin-based adhesive, Woodio is a composite waterproof material ideal for making basins and baths.

Its sustainable credentials come from the low water and energy consumption required during production and that the material is recyclable.

The brand’s tabletop basin is the Mix Awards 2024 Bathroom Product of the Year.

By artist Sally Coulden featuring abstract artwork inspired by nature, the Earth Collection of glass panels comes in three designs Atlantic Ocean, Deep Forest and Raw Earth.

An extensive menu of modular handles and spouts provide more than 800 possible design combinations with this brassware collection.

So you can buy an initial selection to suit your scheme and later ring the changes with new components. Easy to swap over, there’s no need to call a plumber.

The idea is to fit taps once and update them rather than buying new. The award-winning bathroom fittings came top in the 2023 Archiproducts Design Awards
